A Long Island man will spend more than a decade in prison for a violent crime spree in Westchester County, including a hate-fueled assault on an Asian store owner and robberies targeting multiple victims, officials announced. Suffolk County resident Michael Bagley, age 34, of Coram, New York, was sentenced to an indeterminate term of 14 and a half to 29 years in state prison following his guilty plea to felony charges stemming from robberies in New Rochelle and White Plains in March 2023, according to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office. Firefighters swiftly extinguished a two-alarm house fire that erupted Sunday afternoon, Dec. 8, in New Rochelle. The fire broke out shortly after 4 p.m. at a residence located at 1347 North Ave. Crews worked diligently to contain the blaze, bringing it under control just before 6 p.m., local resident and fire buff Domenic Ramacciato tells Daily Voice.
