Voter Registration Cards can be obtained anytime from the New Fairfield Public Library or in the Town Hall during regular business hours. In addition, the Registrars of Voters will be in session on Wednesdays in October (5, 12 and 19) between the hours of 3 and 5 p.m.

The last regular session for admission of electors is Tuesday, Nov. 1. All applicants must appear in person with the proper identification. The hours of registration are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. That day is also the deadline for mail-in and on-line registration applications. All mail-in voter registrations must be received or post-marked by this date in order to be accepted for the Nov. 8 election. The on-line registration will also end on this date.

Applicants whose rights to age, citizenship or residence mature after Nov. 1 may apply in person during regular Town Hall hours or at the limited session on Monday, Nov. 7 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. When applying in person, bring proof of identity. Suggested forms of identification are driver's license, social security card or birth certificate. Naturalization papers are also accepted for those who are foreign born.

Any applicant mailing in their registration card must have it postmarked by Nov. 1 and must include the last four digits of their Social Security Number or their Connecticut Driver’s License Number as identification.

For absentee ballot information contact the Town Clerk’s office at (203) 312-5616.
