Two Women Wanted For Stealing LI Clothing Store Owner's Credit Cards, Charging Thousands

Police are asking the public's help in as they search for two women wanted for accessing an employee-only area of a Long Island clothing store, stealing the owner's wallet and running up thousands of dollars in charges.

It happened on Friday, July 12 just before 1:30 p.m. in Greenvale.

According to Nassau County Police detectives, two female subjects (see photo above) while inside Meika, a clothing store, located at 45 Glen Cove Road, gained access to an employee-only area and removed the owner’s wallet that contained credits cards and cash.

The owner, a 59-year-old female, was alerted to an unauthorized purchase using her credit card for an amount exceeding $3000. She then viewed the store's surveillance cameras, observed the pictured subjects entering the employee-only area and observed that her wallet was missing.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this incident or if they can identify the pictured subjects to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-Tips. All callers will remain anonymous.
