Suspect In Stabbing Assault Wasn't Able To Run Far From Police

Police quickly arrested a suspect in the stabbing of a 37-year-old city victim Saturday night.

On Saturday, Nov. 29, at around 7:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of 225 Shrewsbury St., in Worcester.

Upon arrival, Worcester Police discovered a 37-year-old victim with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police identified Adam Gagnon, 37, of Warren, as a suspect, police said. They believe the stabbing happened following an altercation, police said.

Gagnon was arrested a short bit down the road on Shrewsbury Street and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, police said.
