HARRISON, N.Y. - The Harrison Police Department is warning local residents to be aware of a phone scam that includes callers claiming that they are representatives of the “local PBA.”

This week, the Harrison Police Department issued an alert regarding a phone scam targeting residents, where the caller claims that they are representatives of the “local PBA,” or “Harrison PBA,” requesting donations over the phone.

According to the department, the Harrison PBA does not and will not request donations by telephone. They have cautioned that residents should not give out their contact information to anyone they don’t know over the phone.

“Remember to speak to your friends and family regarding keeping their information safe, and please spread awareness of these incidents,” police noted in the alert.

Anyone with concerns or questions can contact the Harrison Police Department at (914) 967-5111.
