Harrison Police Arrest N.J. Man On Drug Possession Charges

HARRISON, N.Y. – A New Jersey resident was pulled over Aug. 8 after making an illegal U-turn, Harrison police said, and was later arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Fuad Frank Sadykhov, 27, of 6 Hillay Court, Livingston, was charged with the misdemeanor after police said they found suboxone in his car. Sadykhov’s eyes were “bloodshot, red and glassy,” Harrison police said. When the officer asked him where he was coming from, Sadykhov said he had to “file a permit for a cellphone tower.”

The officer noticed a silver foil package in the car's cup holder, which he said was “consistent of packaging used to store narcotics.” The officer received permission to search the car and found a six-sided orange tablet with an imprinted logo of “N8.” Sadykhov told the officer it was to help him kick his addiction to oxycodone and said he paid $2 for it in Brooklyn.

When Sadykhov was unable to produce a prescription, he was arrested, his car was towed and he was read his Miranda rights at the Harrison Police Department. He has a return court date of Aug. 21.
