HARRISON, N.Y. -- Stephen S. Santangelo, of Harrison, who was the owner of Harbor Marine Canvas in Mamaroneck, died Friday, Sept. 4, at home. He was 95.
He was born in Rye on April 11, 1920, to Giacamo and Concetta Santangelo.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Santangelo was predeceased by his wife, Frances (Cavalluzzi)
Santangelo is survived by his children, Fredric Esposito (and former daughter-in-law, Maria Elena) and Lucille Esposito; and by his son-in-law, Anthony Sposato.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Anthony Sposato (Claudia), Colleen Magnetti Boiano (Joseph), Frances Marascia (Brett), Stephen Sposato (Laura Olson), Rocco Esposito, Frances Ratsimor (Michael) and Maria Barbieri; and great-grandchildren, Sophia, Isabella, Camille, Carlee, Bianca, Sydney, Brett, Rocco Jr., Hunter, Alexandra, Maria, Peter, and Sara.
In addition to his wife, he also was predeceased by brothers Tillo Santangelo and Jack Santangelo; a daughter, Janet Sposato; and a sister, Ann Wright.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday,, at the Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church, 215 Halstead Ave., Harrison. Burial will be at Greenwood Union Cemetery, 215 North St., Rye.
