"The preferred candidate is an individual experienced in providing vocational services to adolescents," Altabet said. "The counselor will need to assess students' readiness to work and fit to jobs available."
The job, Altabet said, also involves recruiting students at school and recruiting potential employers. He said vocational skills coaching for teen applicants is an important part of the job, and the candidate should be a "highly motivated and organized individual who enjoys the opportunity to provide services in the office, at local schools and day camp, and at other community venues."
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary. A car and valid driver's license is required.
The position is 10 hours per week, mostly during school hours with availability to work at least one afterschool afternoon through early evening as needed. The pay rate is $13 per hour.
