Cops: West Harrison Woman Caught with Marijuana

HARRISON, N.Y. – Police cited a 20-year old West Harrison woman on April 20 and cited her with unlawful possession of marijuana.

The police report said that the woman was arrested at 3:11 p.m. at the intersection of North Street and Muchmore Road. While the woman was traveling southbound on North Street, an officer who pulled her over smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from her vehicle. The woman turned over a clear plastic bag containing an unspecified amount of marijuana.

The police report said that a search of her motor vehicle revealed a purple herb grinder containing marijuana, a prescription bottle with two partially smoked marijuana cigarettes and a plastic bag with marijuana residue inside. The woman was released at the scene and ordered to appear in court on May 15.

The following incidents were also reported by the Harrison Police:

License Plate Suspension: A Bronx man, 41, was issued a summons for driving with suspended license plates on April 19 at 1:23 p.m. at 450 Mamaroneck Ave. A DMV check confirmed that the plates were suspended as of Nov. 4, 2011 for an insurance lapse.

Suspended Registration: A 55-year old woman from Hawthorne was issued a summons on April 19 at 5:24 p.m. at 437 Harrison Ave. A DMV check found that the woman’s registration was suspended since March 29 for an insurance lapse.

Suspended Registration: Police issued a summons to a 38-year old man from Congers, N.Y. at 6:17 p.m. at 50 South Road. A DMV check found that the man was driving with a suspended registration as of March 12 for an insurance lapse.
