Port Chester resident Antonio Olivarez, 41, has been sentenced to 13 years in state prison after pleading guilty to first-degree rape, a violent felony, in May.

In addition to his prison term, Olivarez will serve 20 years of post-release supervision and will be required to register as a sex offender.

Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr., said that on Nov. 12, 2017, while in Port Chester, Olivarez forced a 15-year-old girl to have sexual intercourse with him against her will.

The teenage victim disclosed the rape in school the next day and was taken to the Westchester County Medical Center for evaluation. DNA testing determined that Olivarez’s semen was found on his victim’s pillowcase and blanket, and he was identified as a suspect, prompting him to flee.

In July last year, U.S. Marshals and investigators from the Port Chester Police Department located Olivarez in Philadelphia hiding in a closet. When they attempted to bring him in, Olivarez resisted arrest and later refused to waive extradition back to Westchester.

Olivarez was indicted in August last year and a Governor’s Warrant was issued to force his extradition. Olivarez was arraigned in October last year and entered his guilty plea on Friday, May 3 when his trial was scheduled to begin.
