"Kelly adopted his dog, Mary, from Pet Rescue in 2009 and has been a supporter and friend to our non-profit animal rescue organization ever since, " according to volunteer Caroline Walker.

He will match donations to Pet Rescue up to $15,000, said a release.

In addition, Kelly made over several dogs and cats at the Pet Rescue facility in Harrison. Their makeovers will be featured in the December/January issue of Woman’s Day Magazine.

The national attention will a shine light on the organization about adopting the animals, and garner financial support, said the release.

"It is amazing how much (Kelly) has done for Pet Rescue. It's a love-fest, Walker told Daily Voice.

"It really does help save lives and we are so very grateful for all the help we can get."

The non-profit was founded in 1982 to aid homeless and abused cats and dogs, provide medical care, and find them loving homes.
