HARRISON, N.Y. – Did you know the Community Services Department of Harrison is always in need of volunteers for its Meals on Wheels program?
The volunteers "deliver nutritionally sound hot and cold meals, five days a week to the homebound, ill and elderly residents of Harrison," said the department's webpage.
The food is picked up at St. Vincent's Hospital and delivered to homes throughout Harrison and West Harrison from 11 a.m. to noon.
The program offers "regular, low/sodium and diabetic diets," according to the department.
