The stop came in the form of a third-prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000, which was sold at the gas station at 160 North Central Ave. in Elmsford for the drawing on Monday, April 21, New York Lottery officials announced.
The $50,000 prize is awarded for matching four white balls and the red Powerball. The winning numbers were drawn live at 10:59 p.m., as part of the game’s regular schedule held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
Another winning $50,000 ticket was sold in Staten Island, officials said.
Powerball players select five numbers from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9, while the odds of winning the $50,000 third prize are 1 in 913,129.
