Purchase Post Office Reopens After Transfering Service To White Plains

The Purchase Post Office is once again open for business after being forced to transition services into White Plains for nearly a week for repairs in the building.

Officials announced that the Purchase Post Office on Purchase Street is set to resume normal retail business hours and P.O. Box operations beginning on Tuesday. The location will now be open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays, and between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Operations were forced to be temporarily transferred to White Plains on Friday, March 23, while contractors completed HVAC repairs at the 3,400-square-foot post office. Officials noted that mail delivery was not impacted during the repair work.
