“Metro-North Commuters now have the option to enjoy the variety of our 24-hour commercial free programming during their daily commute via the MetroNorthStation App," PPR/WPWL Chair Bill Bonecutter said. “A partnership between our two organizations made perfect sense from a marketing standpoint, as we are both reaching out to the population of commuters that passes through or lives in the Lower Hudson/Harlem Valley Region.”
The MetroNorthStation App, developed by New Rochelle partners, Ed Smith and Rick DuFort, can be downloaded at MetroNorthStation.com.
`"Ed and Rick’s App delivers consistent streaming 99 percent of the time - without the problems many commuters experience when attempting to access networks or Wi-Fi using their hand-held electronics," Jacque Roche, host of the popular PPR interview program 'Jacque’s Giant Hudson Valley Music Show,' said. "The App is easy to use and commuters are being exposed to many new shops and businesses in our communities they may never have heard about.”
Pawling Public Radio, Inc. (PPR) a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization recently received its FCC license. The station is one of only 2,500 non-profits to receive this distinction. PPR currently broadcasts on 103.7 FM from their studio located at 26 East Main Street in Pawling.
