NY Times Columnist To Speak At Manhattanville In Purchase

PURCHASE, N.Y. – Adam Bryant, The New York Times “Corner Office” columnist will take part in a networking reception and special program Nov. 18 at Manhattanville College.

The event is from 5:30-7 p.m. and is being hosted by the college's School of Graduate and Professional Studies. The event will be at Manhattanville’s historic Reid Castle and will include alumni, students and faculty, as well as the business communities of Westchester and Fairfield counties.

In addition to his work at the Times, Bryant is the best-selling author of "The Corner Office: Indispensable and Unexpected Lessons from CEOs on How to Lead and Succeed." His next book, titled "Quick and Nimble: Lessons from Leading CEOs on How to Create a Culture of Innovation," will be published in January.

Bryant will present “Lessons from the Corner Office: Qualities of Effective Leadership.” Having interviewed hundreds of chief executive officers and business leaders, Bryant has identified qualities that set high performers apart, and will share key lessons with the audience that will help speed the trajectory of their careers.

This will include learning what top CEOs consider to be the secrets to effective leadership and what it takes to lead an organization, as well as Bryant sharing memorable stories and eye-opening insights from chief executives such as Steve Ballmer of Microsoft, Alan Mulally of Ford, Drew Gilpin Faust of Harvard and Tony Hsieh of Zappos.
