Did Bigfoot Photobomb Weather Service Storm Pic? Most Aren’t Buying It

A recent news report has sparked nationwide attention after viewers spotted a large, ape-like creature in the background of a photo taken by a National Weather Service camera.

A zoomed-in look at the creature. If it is the mythical ape of legend, the man standing 20 feet in front of him seems uninterested.

According to Fox Weather, the National Weather Service took photos of storm damage in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, last week, and in one of the images lurks a figure some have dubbed "Bigfoot."

Fayette County, which is in the Allegheny Mountains, is a hotbed for Sasquatch sightings.

According to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization — which, yes, is a real thing — Pennsylvania and the Alleghenies have had many alleged Sasquatch sightings.

Washington State receives the highest number of sightings of the creature, with a total of 700 supposed credible sightings. California ranks second.

But is the photo taken in Pennsylvania the real deal? Did the National Weather Service unearth the Holy Grail of cryptids?

No.

Yes, Pennsylvania is known for its supposed sightings of the creature — so much so that residents often place large Bigfoot decorations in their yards.

Considering a man is visible in the photo, raking leaves just feet away from the supposed beast, it's unlikely he's missing the story of a lifetime unfolding 20 feet behind him and this is just a cheeky yard ornament.
