MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Dr. Kimberly Khodakhah, a resident of Harrison, will bring her expertise with cats as she joins the team of veterinarians at Miller Clark Animal Hospital in Mamaroneck.
Khodakhah’s expertise with cats will help contribute to the hospital’s goal to become more feline friendly. Over the past two years, the animal hospital has tried to ease feline stress by making a cats-only waiting and exam rooms. Dr. Paul Amerling, chief of staff at Miller Clark, has been accredited by the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
The addition will benefit the hospital and Khodakhah. She said she is excited to begin working close to home so she can spend more time with her family and many pets.
Miller Clark is also excited to have her on board. Having a local resident on the team will help to strengthen the bond between the hospital and local residents, it said.
She has been a practicing veterinarian in the Westchester area for years. Her medical and surgical expertise will contribute to a panel of five vets, making Miller Clark one of the largest general practices in the county.
Miller Clark takes pride in being one of the oldest small animal hospitals in the country. It has been practicing in Mamaroneck for 110 years after moving from Manhattan in the 1800s.
