Don Pablo Authentic Mexican Cuisine and Tequila as well as El Macho Pizzeria & Pasta have officially opened their doors at and nearby the Yorktown Green Shopping Center on Downing Drive, offering locals new destinations for food and fun.

Don Pablo, which is now open seven days a week at the shopping center, boasts a menu full of Mexican favorites like tacos, burritos, quesadillas, chimichangas, fajitas, and more served with chicken, carnitas, steak, and shrimp.

Other dishes offered by the eatery include pollo al mole, "Birria pizza," and salmon sinaloa.

If you're stopping for drinks, the business also serves margaritas, including a spicy jalapeno marg.

Meanwhile, El Macho Pizzeria & Pasta, which opened right down the road from the Yorktown Green center, features square pan and brick-oven pies, including individual slices.

Square pan options include the "Grandmas Red Pan Pizza," with marinated tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and Italian herbs; as well as the "Grandpas Pan Pizza," with sausage, broccoli rabe, and light mozzarella.

Some gourmet brick oven pies served by the business are the Classic Margherita; an Eggplant Rollatini pie; BBQ Chicken; and the Chicken Bacon Ranch pie.

If you're not feeling pizza, other appetizers and meals include wings, soups, and zucchini sticks.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome these diverse businesses to Yorktown," said Town Supervisor Ed Lachterman, who added that he is excited to have small businesses come to town.

"While we are proud to attract national retailers like Five Below and Walgreens, it’s equally important to recognize that Yorktown is a thriving market for small and family-owned businesses," Lachterman continued.

Another small business that recently opened near the shopping center is the Art-N-Soul Art Studio, which offers art classes for both kids and adults, as well as special themed events like glow-in-the-dark paint nights.
