Woman Charged With DWI In I-87 Stop Driving Twice Legal Limit, Police Say

A woman from Rockland is facing DWI charges after police say she was allegedly driving at twice the legal limit during an I-87 traffic stop.

Sunday, Feb. 10 around 3 a.m., New York State Police responded to the Woodbury exit of I-87 on the report of a driver who did not have the funds needed to pay the thruway toll. The driver, 52-year-old Alicia E. Snyder of Sloatsburg, was determined to be intoxicated, police said.

Snyder was arrested and transported to SP Newburgh. Her blood alcohol content was found to be .21 percent. Snyder was charged with Aggravated DWI and released to a sober third party. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Woodbury Court on Wednesday, March 6.
