The incident took place around 10:18 p.m., Sunday, March 24, when two dirt-bike riders traveling north on South Broadway collided with a car whose driver turned left from Undercliff Street onto South Broadway, said Yonkers Police Detective Sgt. Dean Politopoulos.

Both drivers of the motorcycles were injured – one operator, a 21-year-old resident of Yonkers, was listed in stable condition; the other operator, a 25-year-old resident of Utica, was taken to a local area trauma center with severe body and facial injuries and is in critical condition, Politipoulos said.

The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and is cooperating with police, he added.

The motorcycles are not street legal and at this time appear to have been operated in a disorderly manner; arrests and or summonses are pending the completion of accident and detective investigation, Politipoulos said.
