Greenburgh Police Identify White Plains Man As Victim In Traffic Death

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Greenburgh Police reported Wednesday that a man who died after being struck by two vehicles on Saw Mill River Road Monday night is White Plains resident Stephen Burgers of 110 Park Ave.

Burgers, whose identity was not disclosed while authorities notified family, was found at Payne Street and Saw Mill River Road after being hit by two cars after 10 p.m. Monday.

Police said Burgers was struck by a 2006 Toyota Scion as he attempted to cross the roadway, landed in the left lane of the southbound roadway and was struck again by a second vehicle, a 2007 Honda Civic.

Burgers was treated at the scene by Greenburgh Police EMS and transported to the Westchester Medical Center where he died Tuesday morning.
