The raid, the second in less than two months, was conducted by investigators from the Rockland County District Attorney's Office, the state Comptroller's Office and the FBI, according to lohud.com.

Officials on Tuesday spent hours scouring records, but did not offer any comment as to why, according to News 12, which reported that the raid comes as village Mayor Demeza Delhomme faces impeachment charges.

Delhomme on Tuesday said the raid had nothing to do with him, according to News 12.

Spring Valley Police Chief Paul Modica confirmed that authorities were looking for "certain records," and said his officers were assisting in the process, according to lohud.com.

A previous raid occurred at Spring Valley Village Court on March 2, according to lohud.com, which reported that there was nothing about the raid Tuesday to indicate a connection.
