The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Friday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 58-year-old David Freitag, who has moved from out of state to a Secor Glen Road home in Hartsdale.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Freitag as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Freitag was accused of raping and sodomizing his victim in November 1986, having "deviate sexual intercourse" and using a weapon in the act. He was arrested by the Greenburgh Town Police Department and convicted in August the following year to a term of between four and 12 years in state prison. He remains under the jurisdiction of police in Greenburgh.
