Even with last week's scalding temperatures, the Greenburgh sky isn't yet ready for the summer weather.
Wednesday through Friday brings thunderstorms and rain with temperatures ranging from 58 to 83 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Expect the heaviest showers late morning and midday Friday.
Some residents still venture outdoors, like Elmsford's Casey Arciola, who hoped that an Ossining softball game wouldn't get rained out Monday night. However, others revel in the rainy days, as they are ideal for TV time.
"I plan on watching season two of 'True Blood,'" said Earl Lord, a recent College of Westchester graduate. "I'm going to watch some movies, preferably 'Hanna' and 'I Am Number Four.' I'm going to catch up on NetFlix shows like 'Deadliest Warrior' and '1000 Ways to Die.' I'm trying to not play my video games until Friday so that I can savor it, but there's no guarantee. I might do some drawing."
"My rainy days consist of gaming on Playstation and PC, TV, movies and drumming," said Marques Younger of Elmsford. "It doesn't stop me from going somewhere if I need to, though. I like the rain. Good sleeping weather."
For resident wondering when the weather might break, rain is not expected for the weekend, but temperatures will remain consistent with earlier in the week, ranging from 63 and 83 degrees.
