GREENBURGH, N.Y. At 11:47 a.m. Tuesday, the Greenburgh Police Department was called to Hartsdale's Chase Bank after the bank received a forged check.
Greenburgh Police chased two offenders into the woods behind South Washington Avenue, just west of Central Avenue, accompanied by K-9 units, said Greenburgh Police Chief Joseph DeCarlo. He said that one accomplice escaped while the other was captured. Brooklyn resident Kojo Adu, born in 1980, was arrested and taken to headquarters, police said. Adu was carrying his Guyanian passport with him, which DeCarlo called "unusual.
Greenburgh Police said they are still searching for the other man. They are using the Chase Bank's security footage to find the missing felon.
