Missing Long Island Woman Found

A 70-year-old Long Island woman who went missing has been located.

Grace Bentley, 70, had last been seen leaving her Medford residence, located at Lorraine Court, Saturday, Nov. 9 at approximately 12:15 p.m.  She was found later in the afternoon, Suffolk County Police said.

Suffolk County Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Medford woman who suffers from Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Grace Bentley, 70, left her Medford residence, located at Lorraine Court, Saturday, Nov. 9 at approximately 12:15 p.m. and has not returned. She was driving a gray 2004 Jeep Cherokee with license plate BENTLEY2.

Bentley is 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds with brown hair. She was wearing glasses, a brown coat, a green sweater, a white shirt, black pants and black sneakers and carrying a gold pocketbook.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about Bentley’s location to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552 or 911.

Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
