GREENBURGH, N.Y. A woman was hit on the Bronx River Parkway's walkway Wednesday morning while crossing Virginia Road.
The 76-year-old woman was "tapped on the leg," said Lieutenant Brian Ryan, Commanding Officer of the Greenburgh Police Department's Special Investigations Unit. She sustained no serious injuries, and was walking around when paramedics arrived on the scene. She was taken to White Plains Hospital's emergency room for further evaluation.
The driver was not issued a citation.
