EDGEMONT, N.Y. – An appeals court upheld an earlier decision to toss a lawsuit filed by the family of Edgemont native Lauren Spierer, WRTV-6 in Indianapolis reported.
Spierer disappeared four years ago while attending Indiana University.
The lawsuit alleged the last three people to see Spierer alive caused an injury related to her disappearance, according to WRTV-6.
The original decision last October threw out the lawsuit on the grounds that a disappearance was "not an injury" and the Spierer family was "fishing for evidence," according to WRTV-6.
