A new poll released Tuesday conducted by Time Warner/Siena College shows the hotly contested 19th Congressional District race between Republican John Faso and Democrat Zephyr Teachout are in a dead heat, according to Roll Call.com.
Of the 678 voters polled in the district, 43 percent said they would vote for Faso and 42 percent said they would cast their vote for Teachout, said Roll Call.com.
Rep. Chris Gibson, who currently hold the seat, is not running for re-election, added Roll Call.com.
Teachout, considered a Sen. Bernie Sanders surrogate, has had his help on the campaign trail, as well as his endorsement, said Roll Call.com.
The poll, conducted Sept. 20 through Sept. 22, had a margin of error of 3.8 percent, added Roll Call.com.
