A woman has been charged after police say she stole merchandise from Kmart in Northern Westchester.

Yorktown Police responded to Kmart (355 Downing Drive) on a report of larceny on Friday, Nov. 22 around 2:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store’s Loss Prevention associates and determined that Tiesha Lee, 25, of Peekskill had allegedly stolen $86.05 worth of assorted merchandise on Sunday, Oct. 27.

Lee was arrested and transported to headquarters, where she was charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.

Lee was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Jan. 2.
