Poughkeepsie Police Investigate After Man Found With Severe Head Injuries

Police are searching for leads and asking the public for help finding out what happened to a man found in a street with severe head injuries.

The man was found around 4:40 a.m., Friday, Nov. 1, when the City of Poughkeepsie Police received a call reporting a man down in the street in the area of 219 Mill St., near the Italian Center, said police department officials.

Responding officers found a white man in his mid-30s with a severe head injury. The man was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

Police said they are attempting to determine what happened to the man and are urging the public to come forward if they have information.
