Dutchess Man Caught With Cocaine During Traffic Stop, Police Say

A Poughkeepsie man was allegedly nabbed with cocaine during a traffic stop.

Hector R. Ramos, 32, was arrested following a stop on Main Street on Monday, July 22, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Officer Matthew Galli.

A police investigation found that Ramos was allegedly in possession of approximately 1.5 grams of cocaine and that he was driving without a valid license, Galli said.

Ramos was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving without a license.

He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond.  He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, July 23.
