PINE PLAINS, NY -- Wallace E. McCauley, of Pine Plains, died on Wednesday, Dec. 14. He was 83.
He was born on June 6, 1933, in Pine Plains, the son of the late Nelson and MaryEllen MacKenzie McCauley. He was a fabricator for De Laval in Poughkeepsie. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed being with family and his dogs. He also loved spending time at Saranac Lake and on the St. Lawrence River.
On July 19, 1959 in Poughkeepsie he married Di Ann Pratt McCauley. She predeceased him on August 28, 2008.
Survivors include a sister, Martha Imperato; and two brothers, Harris and Earl.
Visitation is Wednesday, Dec. 21 from 11 a.m.-noon at Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St., Pine Plains. Funeral services are at noon on the same day at the funeral home with Pastor Carol Miller, officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
