RHINEBECK, N.Y. – Rev up your appetite: Taste of Rhinebeck returns on April 12 offering event-goers a memorable exploration of the local food scene.

Nearly 450 guests attended Taste of Rhinebeck last year and enjoyed strolling to the village restaurants, spirit shops and town eateries hosted by retailers to sample their food and drinks.

From 6 to 9 p.m., the culinary crawl will showcase about 25 different locations spread throughout the picturesque village streets, including the recently opened Brookmeade Bakery hosted by Rhinebeck Wine and Liquor Store.

Close to 500 attendees are expected to sample delicious dishes and sip specialty cocktails, while they raise money for a good cause. Last year, about $24,000 in ticket proceeds supported existing and new health services at Northern Dutchess Hospital and the Thompson House.

“Taste of Rhinebeck offers an experience you can’t get anywhere else and each year is unique, so you can return and enjoy Taste again,” said Dawn Morrison, executive director of the hospital’s foundation, which organizes the event.

It is also a competition. Last year, People’s Choice winners were: Liberty Public House, main course; Market Street, dessert; Tavern at the Beekman Arms, appetizer; and China Rose, beverage. The Chefs’ Choice winners were: The Local, main course; Aroi Thai Restaurant, dessert; Tavern at the Beekman Arms, appetizer; and The Shelter, beverage. Also, Village Pizza of Rhinebeck was chosen to receive the Ira J. Gutner Hospitality Award.

Tickets are $75 in advance or $100 after April 11. For information and to buy tickets, click here or call 845-871-1711.
