POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- For those starting or managing their own small business, navigating the world of human resources and compliance can be difficult. That's why the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is welcoming fellow New York business owner and HR expert Frank Cania to discuss the HR challenges and solutions facing businesses today.
Cania is the president and founder of driven HR, a human resources consulting firm based in Pittsford, New York.
At the Chamber's Contact Breakfast on May 17, Cania will discuss several of the most glaring compliance issues today and explain how they threaten the success and prosperity of the local business community.
Cania is a frequent speaker and writer on HR-related topics, and has worked as the federal advocacy director for the New York State Society for Human Resources Management council, team captain for the council's National Legislative Advocacy Team and various other volunteer roles. Cania also recently provided expert witness testimony to the House of Representatives Small Business Committee, emphasizing the costs and burden excessive paperwork and reporting requirements place on small businesses.
The Contact Breakfast, which is sponsored by M&T Bank, Hudson Valley Division, will be held on Wednesday, May 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center.
Tickets for the breakfast are $25 in advance or $30 at the door for members. Nonmembers can attend for $35. Click here to register.
