EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Two of Eastchester High School’s senior lacrosse players have committed to play NCAA college lacrosse.

Goalie Katie Feigenbaum signed her National Letter of Intent to play for St. Thomas Aquinas, where she has received both academic and athletic scholarships. She plans to study pre-law.

Feigenbaum, a scholar-athlete, will play goalie, a position she has played throughout her high school career for both Eastchester High School Girls varsity lacrosse team and her club team, House of Sports.

This past summer, Feigenbaum competed in the National Guardian Goalie Championships, where she ranked fourth in defense and 10th in goal in the country for the 2015 girls division.

Feigenbaum has more than 543 saves in goal for Eastchester High as she enters her senior year varsity lacrosse season. Feigenbaum also plays varsity tennis for Eastchester. "Today was special," said Feigenbaum. "I am able not only go to a great college, St. Thomas Aquinas, but to play a sport that I love. It is exciting to play at the NCAA level and to have this great opportunity."

Senior Jordyn DiCostanzo has signed her commitment letter to play women’s lacrosse for Manhattan College. She has made history as the first Eastchester student, male or female, to commit to playing D1 collegiate lacrosse. The scholar-athlete and team captain has been playing lacrosse since she was 7 years old.

She scored her 100th career goal as a sophomore in 2013 and surpassed 200 points as a junior. She has earned all-league honors each year on varsity and all-section honors this past season.

“Manhattan College has many academic opportunities for me that I am interested in as well," said DiCostanzo. "The campus is a perfect blend of a campus feel and a city feel. The coach and team were very welcoming, and I really see myself succeeding and having a great experience as part of the team there.”
