Robert Burbridge, 46, had originally been sentenced in April to 13 years after pleading guilty to possessing a loaded .380 caliber pistol in his Coleman Street home.

On Monday, Burbridge was sentenced to an additional three years for selling cocaine in Port Jervis in February, the District Attorney said.

“This defendant simply refused to stop trafficking narcotics, even after he had pleaded guilty to a felony,” Hoovler said in a statement. “The community will be safer during the sixteen years he is in state prison. I commend the City of Port Jervis Police Department for all the resources that they placed into these investigations, and for the way they coordinated their investigation with the District Attorney’s Office.”
