A Silver Alert issued for a missing Long Island woman has been canceled after she was located.

Claudia Gerarde, 66, went missing from her home in Farmingville at approximately 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 after she went walking around the area, Suffolk County Police said.

On Monday, Jan. 21, police announced Gerarde was found.

"Claudia Gerarde has been located, unharmed," police said.

A Long Island woman has gone missing and authorities have asked for the public's help in locating her.

Suffolk County Police have issued a Silver Alert for a Farmingville woman who is bipolar and suffers from delusions

Claudia Gerarde, 66, went missing from her home on Pinedale Avenue at approximately 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 after she went walking around the area. 

She is described as being 5-foot-4, 150 pounds with gray hair, green eyes and glasses. 

She was last seen wearing black and white leggings, a green shirt and brown jacket.

Anyone with information on Gerarde’s location is asked to call 911 or the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.

As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
