New York Sports Club, located in Croton-on-Hudson at 420 South Riverside Ave., was forced to close on Monday morning, May 8 because of a significant water leak, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department.

According to the department, firefighters responded to the gym around 5:40 a.m. and found that a fire sprinkler pipe had burst. This caused water damage and potentially compromised the electrical system, resulting in all systems being turned off.

The gym's management is now working to open the business as soon as possible, fire officials said.
