The incident happened on Friday, May 3 just before 10 p.m., when a car struck a telephone pole at the intersection of Bayberry Lane and South Bedford Road (Route 172) in Bedford, the Bedford Fire Department said on Sunday, May 5. Arriving fire crews soon found a single car on the road with heavy damage. Burglars Use Rock To Shatter Gas Station Door In Northern Westchester: Police Authorities are searching for burglary suspects who shattered the glass door of a Northern Westchester gas station with a rock before stealing merchandise.  The incident happened on Monday, Aug. 28 around 12:50 a.m., when Bedford Police responded to a Shell gas station on South Bedford Road (Route 172) for a burglar alarm activation, according to Lt. ID Released For 22-Year-Old Man Killed In Head-On Northern Westchester Crash A man killed in a head-on crash in Northern Westchester has been identified. Diego Trejo, 22, of Pound Ridge, was killed around 9:20 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16, on South Bedford Road, said Bedford Police Lt. Andrew Bellantone. According to Bellantone, a preliminary investigation found that a 2018 BMW 750I traveling eastbound collided head-on with Trejo's 2004 Acura TSX sedan traveling westbound.  Trejo was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, police said.
