The Challengers Basketball Clinic brings together coaches and players from the high school with players with physical and mental challenges once a year.

Challengers experienced how the Croton-Harmon team warms up, stretches and practices skills and drills, while the varsity players gained awareness, confidence and understanding in working with individuals with special challenges.

All 22 Challengers received a medal and t-shirt at the end of the program.

Croton-Harmon seniors Evan and Jared Douglas created the Challengers Basketball Clinic as a way to make a difference in the community and work with special needs kids.

Supporting their efforts were Mark Duncan of the Croton Department of Recreation, coaches Bill Thom and Joe Streany, Croton-Harmon School District Athletic Director Thomas Cunningham, Mark Franzoso and the CHHS Booster Club.

After the seniors graduate, sophomores Vinny DeIngeniis, Matt Cestone and Walker Young will continue the clinic.
