Six Teachers Earn Tenure At Croton-Harmon Schools

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Croton-Harmon School District recognized six educators during a  ceremony marking their tenure. 

Four Croton-Harmon teachers and two school psychologists earned tenure and were recognized during a special ceremony on May 17.

“We are going to make a big deal out of this,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Edward R. Fuhrman Jr., told a crowd of district faculty and their families on May 17. “This is a family and people tonight are going to become permanent members of that family.” 

. The evening’s celebration included  words preceding each tenure presentation by the staffer’s building administrators and a certificate and gift presented by Board of Education members. 

Those recognized were: Ryan Callahan, Croton-Harmon High School special education teacher; Lauren Fitzgerald, Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School psychologist; Noah Gallagher, Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School science teacher; Glen Klugherz, PVC psychologist; Jacquline Johnson, PVC English teacher; Maryann Zabbia, PVC English teacher and ELA curriculum coordinator

 “We welcome you with open arms to our family and congratulate you on the excellence that you represent,” said  Fuhrman.
