MONTROSE, N.Y. ? A Hendrick Hudson High School senior was recently recognized for his mastery of romance ... a romance language, that is.
Kevin Kiley received an award sponsored by the Westchester County Board of Legislators and the Westchester Coalition of Italian American Organizations for his achievement in learning the Italian language.
“He has been a fine student with a gift for language,” said Kiley's Italian teacher, Silvana Cappabianca. “I truly believe that if Kevin pursues his language studies in college, he will be fluent.”
Kiley received recognition as an outstanding student of the Italian language last week at the Antonio Meucci Lodge in White Plains.
