CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- Carrie E. Tompkins first-graders took a field trip to Croton Point Park recently, where they explored the shoreline of the Hudson River with educators from Ossining’s Teatown Lake Reservation.
During the trip, students learned that it is their responsibility to take care of the Hudson as stewards of the river.
The first-graders also made observations of what was in the river and recorded what they found along the shore.
