CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- A custom home in Croton-on-Hudson promising an opportunity for potential buyers to go back in time has just hit the market for $2.5 million, according to a report by

The home, located at 175 N Old Post Road, comes equipped with architectural details of the 1920s and has enough space to host indoor and outdoor parties for about 100 people, the report said.

The 7,849-square-foot property includes eight bedrooms, nine full and three half baths for a price of $2.5 million, the report said. 

The custom home was built on solid granite in 1929 for shipping banker Harold Clarke Strong, the report said.

The property, also known as Hudsonview, served as a private weekend country retreat for members of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local 91 when it became the property’s second owner in 1944, the report said.
