Round One goes to Bob Outhouse.
Outhouse, a Republican, defeated County Legislature Majority Leader Catherine Borgia (D-Ossining) in the District 9 Independence Party primary, 91 votes to 41 votes, 69 percent to 31 percent, according to unofficial results from the Westchester County Board of Elections. Borgia is also the majority leader.
“I am truly humbled and honored to have earned such a resounding victory in the Independence Party primary," Outhouse said. "I have pledged to work across party lines to get things done and to always put people before politics. I will not let them down.”
The two will face off in the general election on Nov. 7. District 9 covers Briarcliff, Ossining, Croton and parts of Cortlandt and Peekskill.
