CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Two Cortlandt teens were arrested Wednesday and charged in connection with an on going arson investigation, police officials said.
Two boys, 16 and 17, were charged with third degree criminal mischief after an investigation revealed they started a fire on Oct. 29 in the skating area at the Community Center on Westbrook Drive, officials said. The fire resulted in a response from the fire department and more than $1,000.00 in damage, according to State Police.
The teens were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Town of Cortlandt Court on Nov. 15, State Police said.
Police are still investigating fires that were set at the community center on Oct. 3 and Oct. 30 and ask anyone with information to call (914) 788-8044 and ask for Investigator Gleason.
