Stamford Police Search For Man After His Wife Is Found Dead

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford police are joining New York City police in searching for a 33-year-old man in connection with his wife's death after the man apparently abandoned his 5-year-old daughter at a Port Authority bus terminal, according to News 12 Connecticut.

Authorities are searching for Elmer Gomez Ruono, of Courtland Avenue in Stamford, according to News 12 Connecticut. Stamford police were notified after authorities found the girl, and then Stamford police Monday found the man's wife dead in their Stamford apartment, New 12 Connecticut reported. 

Police told News 12 Connecticut that there appeared to have been an altercation at the apartment. An autopsy is underway, News 12 Connecticut said.
