A Northern Westchester man is behind bars after firing a shotgun during a confrontation with several people at his home, according to the New York State Police.
The incident took place around 4 p.m. Monday, when troopers responded to Kings Ferry Road in Montrose for a report of shots fired, said Trooper AJ Hicks.
An investigation into the shooting found that 22-year-old Glenn L. Stieglitz of Cortlandt had an argument with people he knew at his home. During the confrontation, he grabbed a shotgun from the inside the home and fired one shot, Hicks said.
No one was injured during the incident, he added.
Stieglitz was charged with felony possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, illegal discharge of a firearm and disregarding an environmental conservation law.
He is being held at the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
